Curious if any other neurodivergent recruiters or people operations have been put on a PIP and what was your outcome?

Yes I was put on a PIP a couple years ago. I worked my butt off to show that I had improved and get taken off the PIP. Its possible to work hard and overcome it but I am not going to say that it was easy because it was not.

It would depend on the company and its policies. In most cases, it is just a process to avoid any legal issues in the future, and you will end up being fired. I have seen cases that managers didn't have any grounds and had to apologize for putting an employee on a PIP.

Hmm, not yet although I was scared it was coming. What have they flagged as your major issue?

Did they give you any warnings before putting you on PIP? Also has our neurodivergence been disclosed? Don't get discouraged use it as motivation to show them what you can do?

It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. I know I’m not alone that people don’t want to return to the office. My ADHD and the open office just makes working from the office a nightmare and I’m feeling really nervous and kind of resentful.

I have to keep so much systematized and scheduled for my job and organizationally I'm a mess. Does anyone have a fool-proof, ADHD-proof system for office and online organization? My life feels like a browser with 20 tabs open right now and I am losing it.

I work in sales as a coordinator and do a bunch of paperwork with customers online. I LOVE PEOPLE but dread going to work everyday (wfh 3x a week) because the environment is toxic. I just found out that the only positive manager on my team is leaving. I am spiraling. I have a BS in Health Science (no chemistry classes taken and minimal biology education). Just started medication - adderal helped but if I didn’t take it for a day the withdrawal was UNBEARABLE. On vyvanse now.. tbh feels like my brain fog started when I started meds?

Anyone had luck finding a good therapist who actually understands ADHD? Getting advice like "try taking a walk every day" and "practice these breathing exercises" is driving me crazy. I need actual solutions and shit, not just platitudes and internet worksheets.

Just here to say I’m so thankful we have this safe space. People who aren’t diagnosed generally have misconceptions about ADHD and its symptoms, and I’m so grateful we have this bowl to seek help, learn from one another, and sometimes just vent! Has anyone else tried Strattera, had success, and a few months later felt like work was a struggle again? Am I imagining it? Can anyone relate? If I’m stressed out, I can’t focus on my tasks because my productivity is driven by creative and explorative thought. When I’m stressed or anxious, my mind doesn’t have the room or space to think freely to get things done, and I end up bouncing around different tasks not getting anything done. And then there’s the whole dopamine addiction issue with doing a small amount of work then hopping on social media because you feel like you need the reward. Just me?

Hey so like - newfound reason for my procrastination since I got on Ritalin - a tendency towards "putting things off so I can enjoy the hyperfocus later". When I just started taking the meds I was super effective for a few weeks but now my brain seems to be figuring out ways around the drugs 🤦🏻‍♀️ any ideas on how to not fall back into procrastination behaviours?

So today was my first day on a stimulant (diagnosed as an adult), and everyone says its suppose to feel like *boom* magic, or normal (?) , I guess. Knowing that is figurative, what should I actually be expecting? I feel mostly the same, I think, though I came in and actually did started my work today. But I mean, somedays I do that...I just don't want to psyche myself out if I'm expecting too much. Or pscyhe myself in if I actually might not be experiencing what I should.

Stress is causing a massive flare-up of racing thoughts recently. I feel like it's been at least a week or two since I last was able to completely clear my mind. And if it's not random stream-of-consciousness mess, it's music. Ever had a song stuck in your head? Because I've had one for four days now. Driving me nuts. Anyone else struggle with this/have a solution?
