I had my onsite 5 weeks ago, and recruiter reached out last week saying I cleared Hiring Committee, and that he’s waiting for VP approval before we move on to compensation talk. How long does the VP approval typically take? And what is the probability of rejection at this stage? Currently going through the hiring process for a role in San Francisco. They told me the starting base was $110K, but this sounds like pennies in a city like San Francisco! How strict is Google about returning into the office? New York based

I was told I was the top candidate for a role after final rounds, but the role was impacted by the hiring freeze. Since then I’ve reached out to the recruiter but haven’t gotten any response (been almost 3 months). I saw a posting recently for another role that would be a good fit - should I reach out to the recruiter if I plan on applying?

Joining Google in few weeks and my side gig these days is researching 529 plans for my almost 1 year old. Does anyone know if Google offer & contribute to any 529 plans? If so which one? I see it listed in benefits section of onboarding site but looking for the plan name at the least.
