I had someone (26 year old) apply for a non-advisor role on my wirehouse team who is currently an advisor at a bank channel. I don't think he is a good fit for the non-advisor role (wealth management associate) because he eventually wants to be an advisor again. Any reason not to explore him trying to move his book ($300k rev) to my team and see if he can make it as an advisor? I won't guarantee him completion of the FAA program but will mentor. Gotta earn equity partner in my opinion. Thoughts?

I've done so well in this new role within the company that they are hiring another person to assist with what I do. I've voiced to my boss that I'd like to manage this department and they indicated that this is the thought for the future. Now they are asking me to train this person while I have my plate full. Is it wrong for me to expect either a promotion or to be paid to train this person?

Pay for the WMA is $80k plus discretionary bonus. Pay for the CSA is $50k with discretionary bonus. WMA would be licensed (3-5 years experience) and CSA would be unlicensed with no experience necessary. Any general advice or advice on how to best find candidates would be appreciated.
