I enjoy prospecting and I’m connected pretty well in my city and I’m even on the board of a few nonprofits. But I’ve only been in the biz for 2 years so I think my lack of experience turns prospects off. This is one of the main reasons why I want to join an already-successful team
I’m in my mid-30’s and established with a growing business (30%) a year. I’m dying to add a woman to my team. Prospecting and closing business isn’t an issue. I’d love help with marketing, hosting events and, just generally, have another person in the community flying the flag. I also would be remiss not to point out that clients today want a female perspective. I know I do.
We just added a 30 year old woman to our all male FA team and are already loving the different perspective and energy she brings. She has natural business development skills and a pretty strong network in NYC. My partner and I, both 54, look forward to mentoring her.
I work with a large number of FAs who would love to add a team member (female or male). What they are looking for ranges from someone who has strong digital marketing skills to para-planning skills to a focused prospectors to a relationship manager who can service the smaller households within their larger businesses. If you are able to check the box on one or two of those at someone's attention. I echo my colleagues' comments about women bringing additional perspectives. It's scientifically proven female FAs are more empathetic and better active-listeners than male FAs. Both of those ingredients are critical in discovery conversations and relationship management engagement. Lastly, male/female, FAs in their 50s and above are always looking to add a team member who can help connect them and communicate to the savers/investors in 20-30 yr old generations.
You would get my attention by asking me how I plan to increase my revenue and AUM; explain to me how you would integrate your skill set if you were to join my team and what it means to our growth; Also, emphasize how we can collaborate to recruit and scale our team to include younger Advisors across our network of offices in the U.S.
Not sure we qualify as me and my partner are both in our mid-late 30s, but have grown the business to 170 million AUM and have been debating adding another person but have not run into anyone we think would be a good fit. Would love a female perspective. Would consider anyone who called us directly and we thought would be a quality addition. Would likely delete any emails that come in without reading them.

What city?
Philly.
It is hard to imagine an experienced Rep would not be interested in someone that enjoys prospecting. That it your big hook for them.
Without a doubt.
