I have 13 years in IT experience (software devlopment, database management), Bachelors in Information Technology, AWS certified developer, Python certified (PCAP). I have experience developing in C, Python, Csharp in enterprise environments and IoT.

I’m currently a Data Engineer in DFW Texas and making $120k/year. No bonuses. I use AWS, MySQL, Bash, and Python everyday in my current role.

What should I be making given my experience, education, certifications?

Thanks.

Hmmm 120k in Dallas isn't bad to be honest! But with no bonuses and all that work and YOE, you should be bringing in at least 160-180k

like

I estimated $150k based off my research but thanks for your input.

$150k sounds about right. Of course the company matters. You planning to negotiate salary at your current place or coming up with a salary requirement to job hunt?

Looking for SDET or Automation role having 4.3 years of exp and currently on notice period.LWD is 31st Oct..Any referrals I can get ?????

Had my performance review August 3rd. My boss could tell I was upset about a messily 5% raise after getting my degree etc. (recent post). He asked what range I’d like to be in, and I responded in a fashionable matter by comparing median salaries in the area. He said he would try and get me in that range. But has taken over a month to “think” about it. There shouldn’t really be much to think about? Either he wants me or he doesn’t, right? At this point I’m losing money and and motivation.

After a decade of IT experience, including 5years as a data engineer, I've decided to apply for an in-company promotion as a data architect.
Though, I do not have prior formal experience as a data architect, I believe I have taken up the mantle in bits and pieces throughout my career and I am confident about taking the position up.
