Hi, I am new to Canada and currently living in Vancouver, BC. I was looking for opportunities in the Financial Services industry in the Metro Vancouver Area. I have about 3 years of experience in the Banking/Financial Services and HealthTech industry and worked alongside IBM and PwC in developing and implementing cutting-edge FinTech products for business clients of a Financial Institution and led the Finance and data science team at a Health tech startup. Let me know if anyone can help me.

Future plans include taking my MA/MS in Psychology. I want to do research in the field, and I think it would be great to train/work in ABA/CBT/DBT for the topics I'm interested in. My WES documents are still in progress, and I can't take courses longer than 6 months (status restrictions). I just finished the Standard First Aid and CPR Level C and AED.
I'm applying for jobs related to ECE (Assistant) and Behavior Therapists. I enjoyed working with kids with special needs during my undergrad, I found it fun and I felt fulfilled.
I live in Ottawa, and so most jobs require me to learn French as well. I'm not yet at a level of proficiency where it would make sense for me to spend money on French classes. I've been using Duolingo for the past year— to start.
I feel lost and don't know where to start and how... i just found out I need to apply for a SIN (Job Bank asked/mentioned) so I did.
There are many world-class Universities in Canada, one of which is the University of Alberta. They probably offer the same educational opportunities. Plus you'd be in an area where you could easily find jobs where French is not required. Here is a link to the page describing what the Psychology department offers re: research
