Do you work at an IPG or Omnicom shop? If so, you’re going to experience some wild turbulence over the next 90 days.
If so — Do what’s right for you, because you aren’t doing anything to burn bridges and this is going to feel quaint soon.

The beginning of the cuts to satisfy the merger.
Go! Anyone on your current team worth anything will be happy for you that you got out.
Based on what you’ve written, swapping sounds like the right move.
I would prioritize the quality of accounts you’ll work on between the 2 teams over the quality of CDs. Don’t limit the quality of work you can make just because you don’t like your CD. If it’s good work on either team though, make the move!
I feel like a bad person for considering this. Especially when there's such team spirit in my current group.
Moreover the brands and projects I've worked so hard on will all be gone once I move too.
There are so many pros and so many cons. And I'm not able to get a clear answer (tho i feel I actually want to move and I'm just looking for validation here but pls do give me your opinion either way because I would rather know than not)
People swap teams all the time. I don’t think anyone would take it personally.
Look out for number one.
Move, asap.
You’re overthinking it. Move.
Your cd can always get fired or leave on their own for a new gig so if you enjoy everyone else you work with and are scared about the risk of starting over in a new team maybe try to stick it out? If that doesn’t help then maybe look at both accounts and which one brings in more money and would be a quicker path to a promotion / job security if shit hits the fan. If it is really bad and you hate your boss then I say move but just know once you move you probs can’t go back and it may be worse.
But if the other team will give you more diverse experience for your portfolio then do it!
