Look at the bright side, the client will now be demanding 5 separate Oasis loans so they can buy Xmas presents for their litter.

All the same injury? Because that would be awesome and I'd love that for all of us

Yes

Sounds like the drivers in SC 😆

Also it’s looking like none of the AF drivers had insurance. Maybe one did. So it’s a bunch of UM claims.

Yeah, it’s pretty ridiculous

Wait a minute....how are there five accidents? I am trying to wrap my head around how someone gets in five accidents in such a short span of time. Not to mention what you said above about none of them having insurance.....what are the chances of that?

That’s what I’m asking myself. He got in 5 accidents in one year.

Have a big interview tomorrow. The question I dread the most is about why you’re looking for a new job. The honest answer is that there isn’t enough work to go around at my agency and I want to get ahead of the inevitable layoffs. What’s the best way to tell them this? Do I just make something else up entirely?

Hello All,
I am finishing up my second year of practice as a lawyer. I transitioned to plaintiffs pi work from a boutique commercial litigation firm. I like the work and not having to bill. The issue I am having is managing volume. I have about 150 active files some pre-lit and the rest are in litigation. Cases range in value from very small to low six figures. I also take the driver seat for the grunt work on the firms bigger cases which are at or near 7 figure value. I constantly feel (cont.)

I’m a 3rd year Associate at a fairly large injury firm. In my 2nd year my individual fees were $550k, this year I’ll eclipse $800k and next year I have $1.5mm or more lined up. (That’s just cases I signed/closed myself)
I’m the sole associate in the office, and also handle most of the training/marketing/networking in my office. My salary isn’t 6 figures and no performance incentive. At what point is it fair to ask/is it unrealistic or unreasonable to ask for some small performance incentive?

Are there many legitimate ethical hurdles when switching from insurance defense to plaintiff’s work? I’ve always seen myself as a plaintiff’s lawyer, but ultimately took an ID job out of law school (better salary, no real opportunities at plaintiffs firms that I liked). I like what I do—so far—but I’m constantly thinking about whether the grass is greener.
