Any news from DPW? 🤔🤔
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Do you have a prenup? What does it involve?

Like any public sector job, it's not as sexy as it sounds.
I came from the public sector at an agency that's frequently glorified. As a data scientist, I found the culture to be arrogant and sclerotic. We deluded ourselves into thinking that we were cutting edge and that we were serving America as best as we could.
Well, we weren't. And our struggles were due to sheer incompetence and downright obsolete infrastructure, not because our challenges are greater than anywhere else.
So, I left for a consulting firm. FBI has its own issues. It has its amazing and awesome side, but I wouldn't jump the gun and tell yah to just go for it.
I wanted to be an agent - didn’t work out for me - still have a soft spot for it - follow your dream - it’s not about the $
Looked into it while in college! Super difficult even for ex military. You might be able to swing the desk jobs though.
Yes!
I had a coworker go from consulting to FBI. He loves it. It is v hard to do though. He interviewed for over a year and made it through much younger than most at 28
My ex was an FBI agent. The work is not as exciting as I thought; might be different in your case :)
I have a lot of family in the FBI. I’d sit down and speak with agents of various levels to see if it’s for you. Any job has pros and cons.
I totally understand. I was in a similar position years back but couldn't get my sprint time low enough to get a spot at the academy. Still think about if from time to time. I'd say give it a shot! Nothing else quite like it if the career appeals to you.
Yes
Do you want the job or not? Only question you need to ask.
