I have a great job offer, but the compensation is $10k lower than I’d hoped for. I'm definitely excited about the job itself, so I want to negotiate for more without sounding like I don't want the job. Should I just be straightforward and take my chances?

I realized I've been a dummy for getting a job at a creative agency and not working on my portfolio. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it. Now, a better opportunity came along and I don't have anything to show for my talent as a designer. ALWAYS take credit for what you do, even if it's not your project to begin with.

What are the designation levels in the major financial institutions? It's confusing because some consider VP and SVP more senior than a Director, and some have SVP one level lower than a Director like in Citi. If you know the levels of whichever org you work for, please comment on this post. For example in Standard Chartered:
it's Associate, Associate Director, Director, Executive Director, Managing Director (3 levels).

Started a new job a year ago, high performer. My manager suggested a promotion to Product Manager since that‘s the work I’m doing, but that would be a 50% raise. Higher ups decided instead to make a “new role” (not PM), that has no analog in the company and is hard to price via Glassdoor, etc. I feel like this is to limit my promotion salary to something like 10% from where it currently is. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I accept the offer from company A, continue interview process with company B and then rescind my offer with company A if company B offers me a job? Will I be burning bridges?
