I have a question...are any of you, at a Resource Manager level, responsible for submitting awards at your agency?

I have been in the past ! Sometimes it was just easier because I was non-billable and no one wanted to throw billable team members on that when it was not needed.

No it was not written in my job description when I was hired.

It was more like “give us a hand with this” and turned into “you are the one with historical knowledge about this topic and have cultivated a process for award show submissions that works and is efficient and no one else wants to do this please keep doing it ....please .....thank you”

It was later added to my “official role” after I used my creation of the process as leverage for a promotion.

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. I got a dream opportunity to work in the field making about the same or 10% more. I told myself the only reason I'd leave this company is for this type of job. Should I take the chance at this job and leave the restaurant that is on the rise and growing?

I was fired after I reported a partner for a serious (criminal) ethics violation. The firm covered it up. Are all companies like this in the end? I’ve lost my trust and don’t know how to start over.

What is a good interview answer for leaving a job after a few months when the real reason is that you’re sleeping with one eye open in hopes of not being on the chopping block after two rounds of massive layoffs? Company culture is at an all-time low, and it will only go down from here from what I’ve seen in the short months I’ve been there.

Hi, I am considering a career pivot to creative resources/operations, but am wondering what I should do in order to break in.

Based out of SF and noticing resource management opportunities are hard to find here - and if there’s openings, they want you to have 10+ years before you’re considered for a Silicon Valley tech giant. Anyone else notice that?
