Based out of SF and noticing resource management opportunities are hard to find here - and if there’s openings, they want you to have 10+ years before you’re considered for a Silicon Valley tech giant. Anyone else notice that?

Looking to leave my AAE role (almost 2 year YOE) to move into consulting. Anyone here made the leap? Any advice?

I'm not hung up on PE/buy side exits, not closed off but nbd. Would be just as happy to stay and make MD (or exit into corp dev if I want an easier life when I'm older)

My dilemma:

I'm at a LMM investment bank. Can get crazy sometimes, but otherwise chill. Typically done around 7-9 pm, had maybe three 1 am nights. Haven't worked a weekend in over a month. Fridays almost always done at 5 pm.

Have an offer at a reputable MM bank but probably pretty sweaty. Worth the move?

Hello, Need an advice on my offer from Deloitte. I am on OPT and looking for H1B sponsorship this year, recruiter said they will do it but I am wondering if I join after 2 weeks will they be able to do it as there won’t be much time left. My current company will file H1 for me. I got an offer for a consultant role at D with 25$k extra than my current salary and 10$k sign in bonus but I am currently working as a Sr Con. I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.
