Had a bad showing for case interview about a month ago. I knew the material i just straight up had a bad day. Took feedback in exit interview and feel prepared to reapply for a different role with no cool off time… should I still wait or shoot my shot?
Asking as I am curious if my app will be flagged as I just applied to another role recently.EY-Parthenon

My office is 45 miles door to door. You figure out how to make it work.
30-45 minutes is a pretty normal commute. Does that include traffic?
If you need a job right now, I would go to the interview. The job market is really rough right now and it is really hard to find a role. If you don't need a role, you could see what they have to offer. I just wouldn't want to drive that far every day.
That's a long commute, but it's not impossible. Lots of people handle that. If you need a job you might as well go to the interview and see what they have to say. It's possible you could get a hybrid situation and only have to commute on certain days.
I used to do this every day. It wasn’t that bad when I enjoyed my boss and team but after being moved into a different team with a toxic boss it really started to get to me. Then when I had a baby it wasn’t worth it anymore for a job I no longer liked.
If you really want the job it will probably be worth it to you at least for a few years which is the average people stay anymore anyway.
If you want/like the job, 45 min is not that bad. Hopefully you pass grocery stores, etc. on your way so you can be effective on your way home. My commute is nearly 2 hours one way. I would absolutely love only 45 min.
Wow 2 hours!! 😮 do you have a hybrid schedule at least?
You can always move closer later on. 45 minutes isn’t a crazy commute and is around the average.
It’s a great opportunity to listen to books or a podcast.
