Hi. I'm a final year btech student, and I recently got an offer from PwC India for the post of Sr. Analyst, with the package of 4.5lpa fixed + some yearly performance bonus. How should I expect me to be my career graph in pwc? Promotions, work culture, work life balance, basically any kind of insight will be appreciated.

How is typically life for these positions requiring travel? This is for a SWE position.
Currently work with clients is remote as stated by the recruiter. If work is currently feasible through virtual means, will there be flexibility to choose to travel for this position?

I’d give them two options:
1. Pay your estimated bonus to you and you’ll join asap
2. They can wait
This
1. Yes, ask for a signing bonus.
2. I've never heard of a big 4 paying out a former employee like that.
Consider some creative solutions. Example: Tell D you need an LOA so you're still an employee. Then start at fintech (no LinkedIn post!), and be employed at both places with fintech permission so you stay an employee of D till payout. Quit after payout.
They can wait for you. If not you don’t want to work there
Thanks all. I did mention the October bonus and asked about the flexibility of start date (aka starting late November/early Dec) but no offer of a potential sign on bonus to cover. Bit nervous about being so direct and I’m worried they’ll just take someone else instead of me if I don’t accept or bargain too hard…
Coach
Which fintech? I interviewed with a big one recently and the pay was really low
Which one did you do?
Coach
Op why would you push for an early Dec start? You just need to be employed for the bonus. What is the payout date? As an employer I have no problem waiting
6-8 weeks for someone, but 14 is pushing it.
Most of APAC has a 4 week notice period!

So sounds like you already asked for a sign on and didnt get anything? Based on your reply above, you should just take the offer.
On your #2, I actually quit my B4 job about 3 weeks before the bonus payout date and managed to get my partner to still pay me. Granted it was only 3k-4k but i still appreciated the flexibility!
Thanks for your reply! That’s awesome - how did you present your case to get them to pay you?! Also, update - my new company ended up giving me a sign on bonus without me asking! Happy days
