That's really low for 10+ yoe. Many of my colleagues are 4-5 yoe and getting 130-200 TC. Depends how technical you are.
This seems really low especially with all the certs. I would assume someone with 10 years of relevant experience be making past 200+. This is with a few hops.
I agree.
In that case if all other benefits are relatively good then it seems like a decent offer. Could you do better possibly on pay possibly - you’d have to aim for a comp of 175/180+ for it to be little better given taxes.
175/180 base or total comp?
I would say no, but then again if your take home is $110K that’s equivalent to like $165K if you had to pay taxes, so maybe so. I am not familiar with the tax situation you’re describing
Why would you be exempted? I’d agree with AA1. Paying taxes on 110 no. But tax exempt 110 isn’t the worse. Depending on taxes be 150-180.
Organizations like the UN often have tax exemptions for their employees.
I think it is a little low. Probably by at least 10-20k.
The tax exception is due to the visa model articulated for international organizations operating in the US (i.e. IMF, WB, UN, etc). For employees that are not US nationals or green card holders, the G4 visa is used. This visa is tax exempted
