I have applied to 40 roles with detailed cover letters and 20 roles without them. The responses feel identical. Is anyone seeing real proof that they help anymore?

How does comp change over time in industry? Managed to get a few offers, but they are all lateral moves on my current compensation. Also aware my compensation at a T2 increases my c.10-15% p.a. by just performing. What’s the trajectory like in industry? Am I going to regret this move? Thanks all

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
