About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.
Any financial analysts here?

Feel free to DM, I’m a PgM in PSO. culture is solid, it’s just consulting-lite in my world. Most of your work I assume is going to be pre sales, and you’ll be involved in post sales to a degree, primarily to ensure that the original scoping is still being delivered (architectural oversight), hours are solid, rarely work more than 45-50 and if I do it’s at program kickoff, overall it’s still google.. things are super relaxed, managers leave you alone/won’t micromanage you. Came from an azure only shop prior to this and have no regrets.

Yep go ahead.

We have dedicated pre sales people - they are called customer engineers. So while I won't say that you won't do any pre sales...it's a very small portion of your work and it's usually handled by the more experienced people on your team.
Pso is basically 95% post sales.
Work life is amazing....like seriously. We try to staff our people no more than 32 hours a week - that leaves them 8 hours to work on other assets or skill building. Training is easy to get and everyone is techy and passionate about pushing things forward.
It's basically heaven

@G5. Pso evaluates people differently than our sales org. That is very clear when you look at what levels we rate people at.
Getting an L6 rating in PSO takes a significant level of skill and experience as we have to build everything. The main factor is that you need to be a Google expert to get that level (expert by our standards).

@G6 - when it comes to salaries. I see PSO L5 total comps anywhere from 250s-450s. The higher end is usually for people that have been here long enough to see stock appreciation.
I believe we make less than sales....but then again....we work a lot less hours and have a nice training budget.
Totally depends on the territory you get assigned, the competence of your sales counterparts/leadership, and the book of business. Pressure can be very high to sell and move through the sales cycle as fast as possible without care for what a true technical solution requires. CE role, in my experience, is minimal actual tech and more just being a tech talking head (aka the art of possible and discovery)/demo monkey for the sales side.
