If you are covering their work, stop it -- unless your manager told you to for some reason. If the manager knows your coworker is not showing up for work, then the situation will take care of itself without any "True Confessions" from you. If your actions have let her get away with this charade, stopping that extra work will also take care of the situation.
I would not go “confess” anything . Just stop covering in any and all ways .
