I have joined NTT data in March, in offer letter it is mentioned as Annual variable pay, what does that mean , that variable pay will be paid after completing exactly one year ,that is next year March or financial year ( some people are saying that NTT data appraisal and variable pay happens in june ) ,can anyone please explain in this regard NTT DATA

Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked).
