Sorry to hear that. I’ve a couple of managers like that. They taught me how not to treat people. I’ve had a small number of great managers and it’s because I stayed with them for a long time and learned a lot. And thank you!
It sounds like you did everything right. I definitely think recognizing employees and empower them helps them to grow and stretch. As a leader, I always want my people to keep growing and striving towards excellence.
