What makes you think you going to Baruch will get you into finance and what do you mean by “finance”? Do you mean investment banking? If so, Baruch is not a target school for front office investment banking roles. NYU, Columbia, and Fordham are the schools most top investment banking firms recruit from. If you’re ok with back office and entry analyst roles then sure go to Baruch but even then it’s not guaranteed.
Point blank: it’s not worth the risk. If you said you got into a top MBA program then sure take the risk but a CUNY school will get you no where.

I was going to say something similar… I’m not sure that it’s worth the increased cost… a finance degree is a finance degree; and if it’s not from one of the top colleges, it’s really just paper… I’d say if you want some degree of prestige, I’d go with UF, FSU, or Miami… they all have national brand recognition, cost effective and will likely have a higher ROI vs Baruch…
