I just got promoted to Senior Engineer, and imposter syndrome is hitting HARD. I feel like I was just figuring things out as a mid-level dev, and now suddenly, I’m supposed to mentor juniors, do code reviews, and make architecture decisions. Anyone been through this and could pass on some words of wisdom?

Try to stay calm. New Leadership role doesn’t mean you have to immediately shake things up. Highly recommend you to read “the making of a manager” . The author was thrust into leadership role at Facebook in product design role. Excellent things you can pick up on. Good luck and congrats on the promotion.

Don't feel like since you have a more senior role you need to immediately change how you act. Be yourself, that's who got the Senior engineer position. Keep in mind, the first step in mentoring or managing people and projects, doing reviews, and making decisions is about active listening and asking questions. Lastly, take some leadership courses on linked-in.

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

(1/2) Hi all, based in the UK 🇬🇧, would appreciate your advice on how I could break into product management.

Context: Graduated in 2019 (Finance), 2 years at EY as a business consultant on mix of pmo projects and tech projects where I was developer (data vis, power platform, sql, vba, data analysis etc.). Joined Google on a 6 month contract as a data analyst.

Should I be applying for product analyst roles? Should I apply for strategy consulting? Could I go straight for prod mgmt roles?
