I just left a PI firm after five years to join a corporate legal department and I’m struggling more than I expected. The pace is slower, the stakes feel lower, and weirdly, I kind of miss the chaos? I thought I’d feel relieved, but instead I feel… bored. How do you adjust?

Chances are, you went from being overworked to just normal work. I’d say to give it some more time and see how you feel around 6 months or a year in.

Honestly that sounds so nice to me, so it's hard to empathize with you missing the chaos from my current burnout state. But I'd try to use the time to do things for yourself. Take a professional dev course online, get a new certification, investigate side hustles, make the extra time worth it.

Hi - trust me you are not going to be bored for long. I did corporate law and found it harder than litigation. You are going to learn alot and it will look great on your resume.

SO and I got in to a disagreement on the background of Indian tech CEOs. It appears that they are all from 1 or 2 major communities in India.

While he thinks that its genetics/being naturally gifted that got them to where they are I believe it's the environment & discipline that made them successful. We are not from said communities but curious to hear your thoughts on who is more accurate.

Working on a deal where buyer's side keeps on insisting on a POA to effectuate all actions of Seller under the agreement, including executing documents. I keep striking this and commenting that this is not standard. Has anyone dealt with this? I am okay with a limited POA based on the industry of the Seller, but not this general POA.

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I recently left a large lawfirm to go in-house which came with a huge paycut that is not going to be sustainable long term, but needed a remote position to be able to move. I'd like to keep my current job part-time but get back in a lawfirm too.
