I just started a new job as a UX Designer at a SaaS company in the fintech space. Decent benefits & pay, great teammates/company culture....but this is the first time in my 15 year design career that I'm required to work on a PC rather than a mac. I'm feeling very frustrated and a lot less efficient in my workflow! How common is it for a product team to be on Windows only? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Within a few weeks you won't even notice the difference.

In my 20 years as a Designer I've had to deal with tech changes many times. E.g. I started with Fireworks (Adobe), then Photoshop, then Sketch, and now I am using Figma. Each time, I've had to adjust an relearn how to do things, and after a couple of months I am just as efficient as I was before.

Look up some proper shortcuts and hot keys, specifically any workarounds from other Mac users I’m sure you’ll be ok.. I agree the task switching and windows management is kinda clunky still

I’m a first year associate (almost second year). I work at a national firm and I’m not a litigator. When I started with the firm, I was told I could work out of any office. I don’t know how to make this request.

Hi! I do freelance job as a UX Designer
And I just have rejected a job, because I don't believe in the business idea. I don't think it's gonna work and don't want to take a part in it. I also don't want to waste time arguing with the company manager...

Do you think it was a right choice ?

I’m doing my first UX portfolio on Wix. I have the case studies content drafted out, but I’m struggling with brainstorming wireframes/actual UI for my case studies. I make it a rule to look for dribbble/behance for inspo but only sketch when im not looking at things because I don’t want to copy directly.

I’ve tried using paper/thin markers highlighters, tried using procreate, and also illustrator/photoshop & a tablet. I keep running into issues where I feel overwhelmed. How do I simplify this?

Nothing in the contract bc our SOW was originally dev only. If I need permission, I have a good rapport with the Corp Comm director and VP so would I contact them on LinkedIn, or is this something that's normally done through the employer?
