I know I will be working on July 6th, 2026 as a 1:1 paraprofessional. I am preparing and planning for my new job. I know the parents let the child’s teacher (paraprofessional) that their child won’t be coming in for a day. If I have something happening with my family a month after, do I contact the staffing agency and let them know I will be out first before letting the client’s parents know? I am stuck between putting in my time and showing my value and asking for an increase to validate doing so to avoid job hopping after a year or so.

Confronted client today about partner forcing us to travel while client site has travel restrictions. As a result is team is remote next week. Counting down days till I get rolled off/fired now lol

Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.

I am not sure who needs to hear this but exactly one year ago, I was at my lowest point in life. Today, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Life has truly been a rollercoaster these past few years for me.

I am sharing this to tell you that no matter what you’re feeling right now, it won’t last. Even the happiness I feel right now, I’ve had that stripped from me multiple times. That is LIFE. We have the good and the bad.

Hang in there if times are bad. If things are good, prepare to lose it too.
