Doesn't have to be anything "blue ocean". Lots of red ocean opportunities if you're down to work hard and be realistic that you won't win 1% of a huge market (but maybe 0.001% or the local bean seller is just dandy).
Reselling items or making something is totally good. Blogging is tough but you can learn from the school of hard knocks. Product development and launching is cheap if you are technically inclined and can put small things together. Photography is also a thing you can do (and frankly meet hot people...).
3 years ago I had an idea for a business and we’re just getting it off the ground now (worst timing ever, thanks Covid.)
One way to think about it if you don’t have ideas is to start with a problem to solve. Just because something doesn’t exist doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
I’ve been in branding and product innovation for more than 20 years and this is one of the best very simple to understand manuals for starting a business that I’ve seen.
