He has resigned from the academy and that makes him ineligible for any more Oscars. Chris Rock can also sue him for damages and the Oscars for lack of security. But Rock said he would not press charges. The academy said they will also review the incident and they might ban him from all future award shows and they might permanently ban him from rejoining the academy later. Keyword is maybe.
Attorney 1 - you seem to miss the fact that this was done during the Academy’s biggest event of the year on international television. So you should get in touch with that reality. And the Academy isn’t his employer so I have no clue why you’re comparing it to people doing much worse at their jobs and getting promoted.
Do his movies make a ton of money? Yes.

He's made himself look like a right fool in front of the whole world. That's his punishment. His first reaction was to laugh along with everyone else. Then he saw her reaction and realised she was pi$$ed and not laughing. He should not have resorted to physical violence, but as no charges are being pressed, we should just move on. There are more important events in the world than this.

People forget comedians are also bullies . It not everything you make jokes about. I personally thought it was always a known thing to never make jokes about bald people. Will and Jada are in open relationship , so the replies of she cheated and humiliated him is always funny to me.
