Not about Amazon but maybe someone has the answer I’m looking for :) At Meta if you interview for a contract role and get rejected does the 6 month cool off period still apply to you when apply to new jobs? Similarly, if you are employed by a staffing agency at Meta are you barred from interviewing for other roles there? Facebook (Meta)

And the worst is when you do get an interview and you're told your experience is fantastic, just what we're looking for and then crickets....
I spent a year looking last year. Applied to over 600 jobs (I kept a spreadsheet). I have over a decade of experience, which apparently was a blocker in some regards as I'm honestly at AD level but have worked at small companies. I made it to final stage 5 times - twice the role was cancelled, once because of company restructuring. 3 of the companies I didn't get an offer from have done layoffs in the 8 months since. I just got laid off from the contract role I finally got because my boss left the company and am back at it after 3 months of work. All this to say - this is the worst job market I have ever encountered. It's not you. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. Skill up, rest, be kind to yourself.
You are doing everything right. It is SO BAD out there right now.
It’s been 6 months for me, applying to 5-7 jobs a week and not 1 interview. And same with experience - my resume has never been more solid. I tailor every resume/cover letter and utilize my network where applicable.
I recently opened up my search to account management and brand manager type roles. I also started looking worldwide. I don’t necessarily want to move but I may have to in order to work.
I have a job coach now and just signed up for some mentorship through a local women professionals group. Job searching can feel so lonely and isolating. Hang in there! Your next gig will be your best one yet!!

Agree, I’ve only landed freelance remote. A few ppl I know. FTE layoffs are being replaced by freelancers. Every perm application gets a denial. It’s def not my resume. I even got short listed for Amazon. Craziness
This. Companies are really playing broke and doing a lot of shady business with freelancers.
I’m sorry you’re in this position. I’ve been there too but I’m shocked no one has commented on only 5 applications a week. I’d strive for that in a day. You can’t expect great results if you’re not applying more than that and networking which is key.
If you are finding 5 quality PM jobs a day to apply to that’s great! (And please share what industry and what platforms you are finding these.) Remember not everyone is looking for “just any job” but a next step in their career so there is thoughtful time and consideration put into this process.
And while I think pm skills can transfer across any industry, most hiring teams don’t understand that.
It’s rough out there right now.

What agency?
You definitely are not alone. I have been looking for almost two years. I've lost track of the number of jobs I've applied for, mainly because I stopped applying for a while and took on gig work instead because of the consistent praise and ghosting, or applying and never hearing back at all, or it taking 2-3months shattered me. I advise you to keep trying, and in the meantime, pick up what work you can anywhere. I won't lie, my pride took a hit, but taking a job I thought I had grown from and making some money is better than nothing as I continue to apply. Also, be sure to take part in things you love because those moments help you to push forward.
