Many organizations are going through a lot of turn over as many members are reaching retirement age and the “pool” of candidates are not as deep and to fill positions is becoming increasingly more difficult
It's definitely an issue I'm seeing more and more of in my workplace. Some of my coworkers have terrible mic ethic. You could be calling for staff support and people will push the button just to cut off your radio traffic. Even wearing their radios on their belts where it mics up every time they sit down and so you can hear full blown conversations and gossipers. I feel like I wasn't given enough training on radio etiquette. However, I was told I was naturally good, comfortable, and confident on my own, but I can't expect others to have that same natural ability in their first weeks on the job. So that training should still be necessary for new employees.
Oh not, not wrong addresses. How are they not getting training? This is an important job. It's quite literally life or death in a lot of scenarios. It needs to be taken seriously
We hold our team to a high standard because even the simplest of errors can be costly. Thankfully our department provides enough funding to properly train dispatchers, some aren't as lucky and I feel bad about it.
Hello this the company hire for more experience dispatcher or operation specialist
Wrong address?! Wow. What type of training are they getting?
