I left public for a private equity-backed portfolio company thinking it would be chill, but it’s actually more intense than audit ever was. The PE firm wants weekly reporting, constant Ad-Hoc analysis, and they seem to think 10:00 PM on a Friday is a great time for a quick sync. I’m making more money, but I’m also working more hours and have zero job security because we’re always for sale. Did I just pick the wrong type of private firm?

Hi Fishes, I've 2.25 Years of experience in SAP Basis, but I've lost interest in the same due to not receiving proper training, inability to practice on customer's system and shifts. I'm looking forward to go for MBA/changing technology, which one would be a better option? So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.
