Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

It sounds as though you accepted a job that doesn't pay well enough for your needs, in which case not even a good raise will make this situation work out long term. Add the role to your resume and keep looking.
The harsh truth is that this is a function of supply and demand. You wanted to get out asap and you got underpaid. Look for your next role with less neediness and you will get paid market.
If you have proof of the value you bring to your new company, then I say go for it now, worse they can say is no. Good luck
Sad to say that your prime time was before signing the employment agreement. Good luck.
This is not that bad of a place to be in.
What is the pay difference. If higher than 5-10%, then you should be looking for other opportunities.
Because any raise you'd get will still be peanuts on top of your peanut base pay.
I'd say keep searching for external roles and leave once you have something better lined up.
Why is it not a bad place to be in? You aren't jobless and anxiously looking. It seems the new place is laid back but low pay, so you have have more peace of mind while looking for something better.
Best of luck.
Yes unfortunately that opportunity to negotiate was the initial interview. It seems to me not a good financial fit start job searching now. Hopefully soon you can be hired at a more suitable position...stay positive you got this!
I'm in the exact same boat. 4 months in and feel underpaid and sad that there aren't any real advancements down the road for me in at least 5-10 years! LOL. But at least we have a safe, stable, paying-the-bills job!
Always negotiate from a position of strength. Don't underestimate the value of leaving a toxic workplace. If you were desperate enough to take the first offer with no negotiation, you needed to get out. Your mental health is worth more than money. Now that you're in a better position, start looking again.
