Investing into education would be a good start instead of pushing academics, researchers and medical professionals away with fear of persecution and culture of fear mongering
You literally described the woke system

Fix the climate, both weather and political.
They’re a lost cause.
-A Californian
Actually supporting education as a state would probably be a good starting point.
Umm have you looked at recent data BCG1 lol.

You have to understand the political landscape of a country or a state to understand investment in education. Politicians love uneducated voters because they are more receptive to fake news, conspiracy theories, extreme ideologies, polarizing issues like women’s health, social equality, etc.
Also, Texas has about 20% foreign born workforce and they also get people who moved from other states for energy, healthcare, tech sectors. So while industry keeps getting their workforce from somewhere, politicians don’t like educated people.
So, elect people who want to make education a priority.
This too!

I graduated from one of those two Texas schools and my spouse has a degree and worked at one of those California schools. I have lived jn California for 30 years. The answer is mostly money but also politics. PhDs are generally liberal. They don’t want to live in Texas today. TAMU’s firing and demoting faculty for teaching the gender unicorn will have a chilling effect that will decrease the quality of education. Second, you need money. You need to buy better faculty, pay for labs, buy better students, fund graduate students, etc. Texas won’t create another great school because it doesn’t have the money even if it had the desire.
Sounds like a HUGE improvement in education due to a huge REDUCTION in ridiculous Progressive Ideology indoctrination!
If California continues prioritizing racial essentialism over merit-based education, the state will only get worse than Texas.
I just saw this “In July 2025, a bill moved forward in the California legislature that would give public colleges and universities the option to grant admissions preference to descendants of slavery. “ Lol

It doesn't matter if they like it, that would be a third school on the list

Completely change its politics at the state and municipal levels
Doesn’t get fixed at the college level, this gets fixed at a cultural level.
Drive a local culture that prioritizes education at all levels, and be willing to WAIT for those improvements to manifest over time.
This.
Pay me 1.5m for a 12-16 week engagement and I'll tell you
I love how people say college campuses and PHDs are all “liberals”. Really don’t they mean “educated”….and when you are educated and make choices for yourself…..
Add state income tax + 5 other taxes to match CA’s 🤣
Oh yes, when I pay 5 different taxes, I do understand it
And yes, I have lived experiences in both TX and CA.
texas is a lost cause ; abort
OP is trying to take it to term.
It’s dead already. Everyone moved back to California.

MD haha thank goodness no
Allow abortions
Agreed. One of many reasons I would never live in Texas is a lack of access to reproductive care.
Also to greater audience my next question within this thread is what are all the steps an individual can do to make senators/government officials accountable for the actions that they take and keep them run after a goal of making "Texas Great Again"...
I prefer this to people from Cali, Illinoi, Jerse, etc…
