Based on your comment, my advice is to accept the reality that you didn’t get the offer now and focus your energy on prepping for your other interviews.
...work? Do they take the avg across the two interviews/expected to perform well in both or would one person advocate for you if you screw up another?
Can you define “messed up?”
depends... from my understanding, the reason they have 4+ interviews over 2+ interview days is to check for consistent performance.. ie a bad fit could do well on one interview by luck but unlikely to do well on all. so that would indicate that "failing" one means you are likely out. however, if you impressed the other interviewer so much, they may influence the first interviewer during the debriefing to let you pass to the next round.
I would hypothesize that final rounds would not have this opportunity for "leniency" because that is the hire/nohire decision.
Sorry A1, my hands are tied. This is going on your permanent record
If it makes you feel better, I thought I did terrible on both of my cases, but still got the final round and the feedback told me I did pretty good, so there’s hope?
That didn’t happen to me, but I missed a couple key info of the case and didn’t flow as well as other interviews I did
