I need advice. I have been in customer service for 10 years, most of which being in a supervisor role. I am actively looking to leave my career because of ongoing unresolved issues with leaders that hold influence. It has gotten to a point that it has impacted my well being.

I don’t want to lead people any longer and I don’t want to take a pay cut.

Id prefer an individual contributor role and min salary of 65K.

Anybody make a switch like this ? What fields or roles should I search for?

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!

Pivoting away from Sales: I’ve been in sales positions for 15 years, and I’m just exhausted by the role (disputing commissions, arguing about deals, all of it). I have a degree in marketing, but I am having a hard time landing interviews since I’ve never had a strictly marketing only role.
