Rising Star
You’ve already got some hefty red flags regarding the lack of diversity and their unwillingness to become more inclusive. You can do better than a 5k bump, especially for that kind of environment. Just my two cents.
It is hard to force diversity on a culture that is not open to it. I view company culture like a relationship with your partner. You shouldn't expect them to change. You need to change or you need to change to a new partner/company.
I had a great work life balance, the work was sometimes boring but that happens. I didn't choose to leave, unfortunately the company went under and I had to search for something new.
The new position I've just finished negotiations with is offering a pretty minimal benefits package. The perks don't compare to what I had before. But it's an interesting opportunity where I would have significant influence in the brand. The position is a senior position titled Design Manager on the track to creative director. So I see the benefits in terms of career growth however the salary is only a 5k bump with a 15% bonus pending company performance. The red flags I'm worried about is that this company isn't diverse and not willing to become more inclusive. This is really important to me as a double minority. While I think I can have a lot of influence in the brand and I think I can bring this to light I'm worried how much push back I will get and that this company culture may turn toxic. I guess I'm looking for an outside perspective if this is a smart career move?
