It seems like scenarios like that are becoming more common. Sometimes it's understandable, a budget suddenly was rescinded or whatever, but it's always disruptive. And having to inform people can be personally embarrassing. As for motivation, I see it as just pushing along and hoping for the best. Obviously, we hope what we're working on will come to fruition and won't wind up as a rug pull.
Totally agree. It is disruptive on both sides.

The truth is that it is very common to have reorg at companies every 6 months now, but also hiring process lasts months, so it is common nowadays...
Sadly true. Long hiring cycles and frequent reorgs are colliding.
