I admit it's a little weird how closely attuned I am to the clock. In the morning if I don't walk into the kitchen at the same time as I usually do I feel a little discomposed. And throughout the day, even when it doesn't matter, I'm usually aware of what time it is and how long it's taking me to do something. It's just the way I'm wired, I guess.

I understand that! I feel so thrown off all day if my routine shifts even slightly.
I plan roughly a week out, and it's very loose planning at that. I have a general idea of what I need to get done each day and week and just kind of chip away at it until it's finished. I'm sure my life would be a little less chaotic if I was more regimented/disciplined/what have you, but that's just not how my brain is wired.

Your way of getting things done sounds so much more free than mine😅 If I do one thing out of order, I’m a mess for the rest of the week😂

I do feel the same way. I’m very type a and like thing done a certain way, but at some point I do tell myself, things are not always going to be in my control and that I need to be ok with change and movement

Reminding yourself that you don’t always have to have control over everything feels like a really important thing to do occasionally.
Oh you would hate my job lol
I don’t have a schedule. Granted I’m fairly new (started in December) but I only have 2 permanent shifts per week and those are weekend shifts. The rest comes together as the week draws near. I usually don’t know until Thursday or Friday what (most of) my next week looks like lol but then I’m not a planner, never have been. I’m high functioning AuDHD and most of the time I wing it and improvise.

See that sounds kind of freeing, but also sooo chaotic at the same time 😂 I’m sure it works really well for some people though!
