Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

I did both and there are times everything is short-changed and amazing moments in between. I'm sorry it failed. You've still done something many others never do- took a risk. We have a saying - fail faster; bc then you can succeed sooner.
First, analyze the fail to learn from it. Next decide if the mba would change the outcome. Kids- they only make the moments sweeter, and all of your time and money goes to them happily (most days😉) There is no right time - just your time. Good luck and give yourself compassion!
Thank you ❤️ I’ve decided to continue moving forward on all fronts, since there is only so much you can control in life. Whatever happens happens, and I’m sure it will be good either way and will make it work.
Go to Stanford gsb for your mba and try to get a full scholarship.
My 2 cents… don’t be so hard on yourself. Easier said than done - I’m sure. You cannot go back in time but can strategize what works from now. Also, why mba? Is it because you want to build network and find partners? Or, to learn something? Maybe think of those before you invest in a big program.
Since you said your startup failed, I’d recommend doing a post Mortem or lessons learned for any future startups.
Part of the realization is that there is a lack of business fundamentals missing and realizing passion doesn’t drive it all. I want to build an outstanding business, and not just one that’s mediocre. MBA I’m looking at Harvard, Stanford or INSEAD. I think a lot of people would question why going backwards, but it seems to make sense to me at this time. We’ll see!
I understand this. I'm in a similar spot. I would definitely say, I'm thinking about having babies more and more but I still feel like I haven't reached my career "peak" though I have been able to do great things.....unlike you I'm not and will not consider graduate school lol
