I read on LinkedIn about a senior engineer at salesforce who exited to become an associate at a VC firm.

I’ve never thought about VC as a potential exit, but I’m curious why someone might do this over staying in tech (besides an interest in VC). It seems like the compensation is better as an engineer or PM.

5+ years of full-time job as developer and still waiting to reverse a LinkedList at work.

Since there is a heavy impetus on solving Tree, LinkedList, and Graph problems for tech interviews, it can naturally make freshers believe that these concepts will be used in day-to-day life at work. In reality, most of these DSA concepts are already implemented in some libraries our code uses and we rarely have to code such Algorithms by hand.

Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. I have colleagues doing intense data science tasks as BI Analysts, and can’t help but feel indignant on their behalf because when hearing their job title, one would underestimate their technical ability.

How MBB experience help with Warthon application. I work in analytics and want to get an MBA to get into more strategic positions ins Tech companies.

What are some strength points I should focus on? And common weaknesses. Any tips are appreciated!
