I feel this so much. It’s like work takes up every ounce of energy, and there’s none left for figuring out what “balance” even looks like. You’re not alone in this. Maybe starting small—finding one thing that brings a little joy—could help? Even just resting today is valid. Be kind to yourself. ❤️
I’m so sorry you’re feeling like this. For what it’s worth neurotypical people can have shitty lives. Sending strength your way.
And seemingly more confident! Also a bit down because we have this neurodivergence channel on slack and - no offence to back office workers - but it seems ONLY back office people and made me feel alone again. I’ve never found “my people” and I think neurodivergence plays a part. I’ve just accepted now that I’ll always feel outside. Here at mck I am consistently battling imposter syndrome and find that things just don’t come as naturally (as you said OP)
Classically the grass is always greener on the other side. Cannot tell you how many times I wished my head was ‘normal’ so I didn’t have to navigate all the things that come with it being not. End of the day though, these are the cards and you can do the best you can with them!
I get what you are saying but I find that we also have qualities that others don't and wish they had. I think the grass is always greener so its easy to think that it would be better to be nuerotypical but we have never been so there really is no knowing for sure.
Which qualities are those?
