My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

It’s a fair question and most companies I thought published leave policies. For us (an agency), we’re transparent about 20 weeks for either caregiver and we have a pregnancy loss benefit too. This is huge to even me whose youngest is 17. When we (wife and I) were 27 we experienced a pregnancy loss and I had to take vacation to take any time off. There also was no paid paternal leave. Our industry has come a long way.

No it is very important! My company gave me 16 weeks of Paid parental leave and it was the only thing that saved me during that time of no sleep and adjusting to motherhood. There are some very popular businesses who still give new mom’s only a month and a half off and sometimes unpaid. So this is a very important question and can be a deciding factor for many.
I would like take it as a positive sign that they are rewriting the policy! Means they understand the importance and are working to evaluate (and hopefully improve it).
