Has anyone pushed back on their firm’s return to office plans? And if so, what has been the response from management to requesting to be fully remote or only coming in once/twice a week?

Is hybrid model is the new future or again the companies will move back to full 5 days in office in coming months ? Any insights

Scenario: You’ve been invited to a second round of the remote interview process with the leaders of the Tech team you’d be working with/reporting to. Would you need to be told specifically to arrive on camera or do you consider it a given? (You have not had previous interviews at this level)

Right now, work is slow due to statewide restrictions. There isn't much to do but we're still required to come to the office everyday. I waste around 3 hours daily between commuting and getting ready, on top of the surging gas prices. How do I talk my manager into letting us WFH? It's not like coming to the office does any difference.

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. Hello fellow PMs - Any recommendations on how to get a client who is borderline obsessed with sending emails with ‘high priority’ red explanation point to stop this behavior? It’s counterproductive and had set the wrong expectation with my team on what the focus should be. I’ve managed expectations with my team, but still having a hard time getting the point across to the client.

I lateraled after two years of bad reviews and failing to be promoted to the next class year at the firm I summered at. When I lateraled, I was brought on at the class year that matched my graduation year but was unsure if I had what it took to be a biglaw attorney. I had my annual review yesterday and was promoted (and received nothing but positive feedback). Sometimes it isn't you.

I’m currently an associate with an asian asset management company. I previously have been in pr agencies where work is fast paced and as an intern, i understood the intensity needed to work and consider myself as someone who is really willing to work hard long hours and deal with pressure. This role is something Ive wanted as in to break into the finance world. They described the company to be a fast paced one as they deal with multiple launches but i am finding it slow. Any tips?

If a position for which I had a first round interview has since been put on hold, would it be reasonable to ask for an informational interview with the would-be hiring manager? In my experience, "on hold" has always been synonymous with cancelled. It’s frustrating and I like this particular agency, so I just want to make the most of this. Maybe there are other ways to handle these situations?
