You have good reason to wait it out in my opinion.
But it just depends on how bad you want to work for someone who can't answer a single email and wants to play games with the negotiation process.
Then take it but keep looking I guess?
Depends on how badly you want a job. What’s the worst case if you wait it out and don’t get a new offer? If you are okay with the possibility of that outcome, then I’ll say hold your horses. If not take it
But I guess I have no choice ? (The salary is standard / expected, I just feel like I’m being lowballed on the signing/relocation bonus but I also totally understand why they haven’t offered any)
Or do I roll the dice and let offer expire while I wait to hear back?
F/u is a crazy way to abreviate “follow up”
Don’t sign it!
Can I ask which firm is this?
It’s a boutique consulting firm
I just don’t understand why they’d be playing games with me at this stage. Do they not really want me? Are they hoping I’ll decline?
What if I sign and they continue to be annoying and I want to renege - is that an option? How bad would that be?
Is there a way to sign contingent on some relocation support and pushed out start date (they did say it was tentative when they gave verbal offer) ?
I’ve met people like this too, and there are people whom I’ve helped but think they don’t deserve to be in the firm afterwards. Great job that you’ve helped, I’d like to be your friend too!
Wait so
1. You have an offer you don’t like
2. You’ve sent negotiations by email
3. You haven’t heard back
Why are you in a rush here? Just wait it out. Worst case you lose an offer that you weren’t that excited about anyways
