Fishes, OK so this is true. Wipro is delaying the joining by half a month due to some restrictions or organisational changes & not ready to compensate for that half a month loss of salary. Very rude & absurd behaviour from them. Hence rejecting the offer as such company if u aren't sure when to ask for joining u may revoke the offer letter later on. Hence multiple options in hand is necessary nowadays. Infosys Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies

Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

As long as you do it respectfully and with clear data and/or justification to back it up, negotiate for what you feel you’re worth regardless of how “generous” the offer was.
First off, don't feel bad about trying to make things better for yourself.
I'd come back with ... " (Person), while I appreciate and respect your offer of X. In truth I was looking more for Y, because ... ", as a starter.
Then, make sure you can back it up with a supporting argument.
Recruiter here... do you have data or other insights that frames the market offer for the number you are hoping for?
"Most generous" is typically framed from comparsion to market data. Or it compared to internal company pay structure.
I think it’s smart to counter, especially if you’ve done your research and know the market rate. I countered once, even when they said it was their best offer, and they ended up meeting me halfway.

I don’t love when they try to emphasize something is generous or not….i think always still fair to negotiate
