I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?
Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Highlighting your shortcomings may be putting you in a worse situation, considering they are probably more visible to you than to them. I would position the follow up as a call to ask meaningful questions that weren’t addressed in the interview and you can find a way to highlight your strengths in that convo
Appreciate the feedback! I know we are our own worst critics.
I would definitely send a follow-up, but make it more of a "Thank you for taking the time to speak with me about the available position. I look forward to hearing your feedback. "
Who knows? You may have a setback that's just a setup for a comeback and puts you into a more desirable role where you'll be more prepared.
I'm sure you didn't come across as badly as you think you did. We're always harder on ourselves.
Are you sure you didn't get the promotion?
I took on a managerial position ,accommodation managing for temporary housing on call 24/7at starting salary. I was out of pocket for 12 months, went above and beyond and never complained. Showed my worth and 12 months later got offered the position of regional manager. 2 and a half years later I'm still with the company. I'm passionate about what I do and when your company see that, they will reward accordingly. I have the best bosses ever. My advice is to do the best you can do and strive to be the best version of yourself for yourself and everyone around you.
