I recently started using noise-canceling headphones at work, and it has been an absolute game-changer. The constant office chatter and background noise used to pull my focus in a million directions, but now I can actually finish tasks without getting derailed every five minutes. I’m wondering what other tools might help—whether it’s apps, gadgets, or productivity hacks. Has anyone found a must-have tool that makes managing ADHD at work easier? Bonus points if it’s simple and doesn’t turn into another distraction!

Most ADHD tools are only helpful if you actually use them. I’ve downloaded 50 productivity apps, spent hours customizing planners… and then abandoned them. Simple > fancy.

Noise-canceling headphones saved me at work, but another tool I swear by? Task batching. Instead of switching between emails, projects, and meetings all day, I group similar tasks together. Mornings are for deep work, afternoons are for admin stuff. It keeps my brain from bouncing all over the place. Also, the Forest app has been a great way to stay off my phone when I need to focus.

I swear by the pomodoro method. I work for 25 min then take a 5 min break, both with a timer, then repeat. I struggle with task initiation, but it’s much easier for me to get started if I can tell myself “it’s only 25 min”. A fair bit of the time, I’ll get into the zone during the 25 min and then it’s much easier to keep going.

My friend turned me on to getting a pair of over the ear BOSE and when I tell you they are the best thing I have ever purchased. I am able to get so much more work done when I can just cancel out all the noise and focus on what I am working on.

I resigned and my last working day was last day of month .
The company KPMG was suppose to deduct my joining bonus and other things in final settlement. Last working day was last day of month , which means i got full salary.
What they will do in final settlement? Will they ask me to pay separately? I have resigned and joined another organisation. Any one knows what will happen ?

Can anyone relate? If I’m stressed out, I can’t focus on my tasks because my productivity is driven by creative and explorative thought. My boss assigns projects with unclear expectations and provides no guidance on how to achieve them.

I've asked for help, and, to avoid a long post, she expects me to figure it out. Perhaps you go through this too, but when I don't have a clear guide on completing big projects, it paralyzes me because I don't know where to start. On top of that, I have anxiety, so "it has to be perfect".

How do you approach projects when your boss plays the "guess what's in my head" game?

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. I’ve been trying vitamin D and working out, but it makes my “highs” and “low” SO extreme. The simplest things are so complex in my mind.

If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.

Just restarted stimulants and already I'm dealing with twitches again. Does anyone else get these? No type of pain or anything just every once and a while my body will twitch strongly. Afterward I feel normal, but it's a bit annoying, and I can't control it at all which is a little disconcerting. Don't remember this from when I took stimulants as a kid, but it's been a while.
