I see a lot of apartments at 160 and 180 riverside. Looks like a great area! Any thoughts on that?

The former Trump buildings. A cold walk to the subway in the winter.

They’ve take the name out/ down from the buildings is what I’ve heard.

I live near there and toured those buildings. The walk to the subway is brutal. 160 and 180 are older and in mild/moderate disrepair. 140 is nicer but more expensive. I asked people in the elevators whether they liked living there and nobody told me yes. Some people mentioned bug/rodent problems. I think there are a lot of apartments available in those buildings for a reason.

Definitely worth it to tour the buildings- each building does it separately. 180 was pretty gross when I toured. Leaks in the hallways, lights out, smelled bad. A lady in the elevator told me not to move there. 140 was much nicer and the doorman told me it was the best out of the three.

I like living here. The walk to the subway (1/2 a mile) isn’t ideal but I don’t mind as I mostly wfh. Also there is a shuttle to 72nd station. Also have a great view. I used to live in a high end condo but found I was paying a lot for things I didn’t use/need (think ice baths, high end appliances). Here I get more space, lots of closets, and have things that work even if they aren’t top of line. If you’re used to lots of bars/restaurants you may miss being more central but for me that is outweighed by being on riverside park.

Too far from transit. Very dead at night… and these days, some spotty crime (but that’s true everywhere). Try to get closer to Columbus; it’s night and day.

I’m also in 2 Lincoln Square - bummer to hear about the rent hike.

Hello all! So I’m currently a Realtor in LA. Prior to being a Realtor, I was a store manager for a luxury store in Beverly Hills. I was kind of forced to get out of retail when the pandemic hit so my only option at the time was to jump in to real estate as I already had my license. I’ve been feeling unfulfilled with real estate and truly miss luxury retail. Does anyone have any referrals for luxury retail jobs in Los Angeles? I would love to hear from you! Thank you for taking reading my post!

I dated my ex for about 4 years and before we broke up we had moved in together. We lived together for about 6 months before breaking up. I kept the apartment and she moved out. I’m just not sure if I should tell her about it, or wait for it to come up in conversation
