I see these lists of how PR people use AI, and all of it sounds…lazy? Self-destructively so? If you can’t keep track of what happened in a meeting, write a pitch email to a journalist or sort out who covers what and why, you won’t be able to improve or correct on what AI gives you, and the value of your work starts to approach zero. And if you’re using AI for strategy, yikes — that’s just asking to be replaced.

I give massive kudos to all the parents out there juggling work and home life. But it’s starting to feel like I pulled the short stick by not having a kid. Really struggling to pick up all of the slack from all of the colleagues that do have kids and feel like the expectation is that parents should turn off while the rest are working from 7am - 2am everyday to make up for it.
