What is the Deloitte MSP Team? Is it consulting?
Got an offer to join Deloitte as a CBO - Project Delivery Specialist– Scrum Master.
The offer is 115k+5k bonus with a 9% AIP. (I have 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master. I haven’t finished my bachelors yet.) Previously the role was CBO - Project Delivery Senior Analyst – Scrum Master after back and forth with the hiring manager with a salary of 102k + 6k signing bonus and a 6% AIP. Thoughts?

That’s typical for the Federal side. The Federal side *typically* offers better work life balance but due to lower bill rates comp is also lower.
Manager here with 12+ years exp on the commercial side $180 base in the DC area.
Federal pays low. On commerical side, this is low for a manager. I am at 165k in Kpmg Lighthouse as a M3 (7.5Yoe) and EY just offered 198k base for Manager plus 25k signing.
Any advanced degrees @k1? I feel like I’m on the low end at M in LH

Get out of Federal
That is the ultimate goal but my experience is large Aerospace and Defense companies with P&L. I guess I need to re-evaluate my plan. I thought joining a firm then transitioning over would be the best route. I’m not sure it is anymore. But honestly, I’m only getting call backs for the government side.
That is dead in line with managers at kpmg Fed, though you’d be hitting the top side of the manager band. At least as far as I know from Fed LH.
There are crunch times but I’ve worked 40 hour weeks almost the entire time....over 50 maybe a couple of times in 3 years. Relatively limited travel.
M is more like $120-$170k so the range you gave was on the high end. You don’t want to go into consulting as an SM if you have sales targets. That’s setting you up for failure. You should target somewhere around $160k for M roles
10 YOE sounds like SM anyway
Agree
Not sure about EY but Guidehouse supports that salary at the Manager level.

Sounds like a fit for EYP advanced manufacturing and mobility sector (AM&M).

DM me if you wanna work together on a referral, I'll dig around to see if there are job postings available that fit your background.
That is high for an M in Federal
EY-P side for sure. You could be an interesting candidate in the A&M side of the house. Hit EY-P 1 on this thread and they can connect you to process
Thanks! That definitely sounds interesting. I’ll look into it further.
Federal side is always lower. The margins are tiny compared to commercial.
I guess I should put an asterisk in the future 😂
