Given the alternative, I would have to choose uncredited for great work. Being connected with something terrible can follow you around for quite a while.
It is a small world. It’s like being difficult to work with, which will follow you around everywhere. People talk!
No one wants to be publicly linked to something terrible. So the only option is to be uncredited for great work. The way I see, I've been involved in countless projects where my name wasn't on it, but I got paid for the time or the project. That was fine, it was just the nature of the work. And most of those projects were so ephemeral that it really didn't matter.
Exactly. Sometimes quiet success is the best kind. The people who matter usually know who did the real work anyway.
Uncredited for great work, obviously. At least then you can still walk into meetings with your head held high instead of explaining why that disaster had your name on it.
